Volant cai or just filter
Hey guys trying to boost preformance in my truck.
I have 2011 5.0 screw 4x4 with 33x12.50
Will the full kit benefit me for the cost or just the filter do the exact same?
http://shop.volant.com/19850-Ford-F-...-50L-19850.htm
Anyone have a picture of it?
Or just run this filter
http://volant.com/edetail.asp?ID=80&ptype=f
Help me if you can thanks. Stephen!

I many be wrong but Volant doesn't make a drop in filter for our trucks. I think to run a Volant you'll have to go with either of the full CAI's. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

From what I've read on here the tune is the single best mod you can make. I haven't made any mods to my truck yet, I'm sittin in Afghanistan tryin to decide what to spend the extra money on lol.

My reading indicates that any CAI is mostly for looks/sound without much performance benefit. The stock airbox is Cain and is used on the 6.2 as well so it has capacity. A good tune is the most bang for the buck.

So I've been reading also. Maybe just a good drop in dry filter and a good tune will work

I definitely agree. I did the dry drop in aem filter for like $36 or so shipped to the front door. You don't have to worry about replacing it. And from the gains I'm seeing from intakes. The hundreds of dollars thrown at one just isn't worth it.

I'm looking at getting a 91 octane performance tune along with others from mike at mpt should be a bad *** gain there but I'm trying to talk to him see if an intake plus tunes helps make it any better I have a stock exhaust also idk if that's going to limit anything or not either
