Various Fluid Temperatures/Pressure 2011+ 5.0L
If anyone is running gauges or data-logs; what are your operating temps for the following:
Engine Oil Temp (EOT)
Transmission Oil Temp (TOT)
Engine Coolant Temp (ECT)
Engine Oil Pressure (EOP)
Please give your info with the inclusion of ambient air temperature, type of oil, and driving conditions as well.
I have the following results:
EOT: Amsoil Signature Series 5W-20. Ambient air temp 40*F; city driving/idling=200*; highway driving=185*. I think I am running a bit cooler than stock due to an Amsoil fullflow and bypass remote filter which brings my oil capacity to 10 quarts (2.3 quarts over stock). Sending unit is in my supply line going to my remote filters.
TOT: Amsoil Signature Series ATF (Mercon LV). Ambient air temp 40*F; city driving/idling=180*; highway driving=147*. I have not recorded temps while hauling or towing yet. I am far below what I believe are normal operating temps. I have an OEM transmission oil cooler that came with the tow package. Sending unit is in my supply line to the oil cooler. This low temperature is causing me some concerns. Any advice/thoughts on why this is so low?
ECT: Prestone DEX-COOL. Ambient air temp 40*F; city/highway driving=202*. Using stock sending unit and monitoring through SCT Livewire TS.
EOP: Ambient air temp 40*F. With oil temperature up to operating temps (185-200*); idle=16psi; 70 mph/1920rpm=55psi. I've seen it as high as 90psi during cold start-up. Sending unit is in my supply line going to my remote filters.
Gauges I use are Glowshift MaxTow. I've data-logged my transmission oil temp and got the same results through SCT's livelink. Transmission is my only concern. I am curious as to what everyone else is seeing in all categories for the 5.0L .
