This will not end well.
Both a 2011 and 2013 have not given me any issues.

I bought a used 11. Mine has been knock on wood problem free after the TSBs to fix the seal in the passenger compartment and the oil seal.
I think with these, its a bit of a crap shoot in addition to how it was broken in and maintained. You're not gonna know how it was broken it, though I'd want the maintenance history.

Get an Oasis report to see the service history.
I've owned my 2011 for over 3 years and have never had any issues with it. I also live in a non-humid climate and a lot of the problems you read about are from people in humid climates. However there are a lot of people in humid climates not having issues.

No issues with mine that I bought used.
The only things I need to get addressed is the driveline clunk/output shaft grease and I want them to update the programming as sometimes it will shift funny and hard. The hard shifting was a trait of my Taurus and a program update fixed that.

It's no secret these 2011 and 2012 EB's are by far the most problematic of the F150's in those years, and for many years. Having said that, there are many fixes that have worked for many people. The smart thing to do would be to:
1) Make sure before purchase, the plugs have been changed and have the correct gap
2) Have the OASIS report to see if the previous owner experienced issues
3) Check the CAC part number and compare it to this thread https://www.f150forum.com/f38/poll-n...umbers-193107/
Basically, just have these things checked to give yourself the best chance of success. Yes, there are probably 90%+ of owners in 2011, and 95%+ of 2012 owners that did not have issues related to the CAC. That doesn't mean you need to be a sheep and just trust that you won't be the 10% or 5% because people chime in with "No issues with mine".

I asked for the oasis report but since it came from a dealer in PA they won't give it out. Not even to the dealership that has the truck, apparently due to the owners info on these report.
