Default Under MSRP

So I have pretty much decided on the 5.0 FX4 with the FX Premium Package and the FX Luxury Package. Total that come out to 42,570 on fords web site. Wonderin how much yall were able to get your truck for under MSRP. Do any of yall know what the factory cost for a truck is?

Good choice! You'll love it! MSRP on my FX4 was $43420 and I paid just under $34K with dealer discounts and rebates.

muddy, go to www.kbb.com (Kelly Blue Book). You can build the truck in their system. It will tell you the MSRP along with the invoice. It will be close enough to begin the bargain game with the dealer.

OK, dug out my cryptic notes from my initial call to the dealer .. MSRP $43,420. I didn't detail this in my notes, but the dealer told me $39,821, and I'm pretty sure he said that was invoice. At any rate that was the discount from MSRP plus they discounted their hold back of $1274. Further discounts were a $2K rebate from Ford can't remember what it was called or if it was called anything, $1K rebate for my trade in, and $1K rebate for FoMoCo financing (which I am going to refi with my CU at half the FoMoCo rate). I had also gotten a $750 rebate coupon in the mail from Ford for a total of $4750 in rebates. So MSRP less discounts and rebates = $33,798 sales price (plus TTL)
Hope that helps you some

There's a lot of rebates these days (at least in Canada). The FX2 we are buying was 25% under MSRP. The dealer didn't do anything on top of that. Guess they may be providing part of the rebate.
