AED, MPT, and VMP all really recommended e85 for this. All even suggested running a mix for towing. I just don't want to run e85 due to the lack of availability in places I travel too. I'm really on the fence with this, all three tuners sound highly capable, I just hate the idea of blowing an engine while towing at midnight. I'm going to look at a 6.7 powerstroke tomorrow, I promised myself I wouldn't get another diesel...

Well I drove the 6.7 and hated it. I know it would take care of my towing wishes, but it was a boat compared to my truck and I don't want to daily that thing. I think I'll roll the dice and live dangerous. Mechanicboy can you send me a link to the scangauge you use? Time to start putting together the little pieces to make this happen.

Keep in mind that no one makes gauge sets for these truck except one that blocks the a/c vents. I had to make a custom one for my center dash that fits three pods (the aeroforce gauges can be doubled up btw).

What injectors you going to use?

BTW, AED is the **** for WOT, but part throttle is on the lazy side, not really what you want for towing so unless he's willing to work with your alot making it right, you might what to ask each tuner how much time they are willing to work with your on this. You should ask ocasio0727 about his experience with MPT because they tuned his truck. I believe his stock engine blew with their tune, might want to ask him and MPT about what they think went wrong there (I have a feeling it was too much power on gas). VMP I only know from the mustangs, not aware of any f150 5.0s by them, but I could easily be wrong. Youngerone had a LUND tune for a while, he should chime in here on that. I can't remember who NOLAGT and King L26 (who also blew his stock engine) had tune their trucks, you should also hit them up so you can get the most informed decision on this.

No matter what, make sure they don't desensitize the knock sensors.

No Lund tune here !!! Lol I ALMOST had a Lund tune but they were as pricey as AED, but u can't skimp on quality and AED was great like mechanic said( we had exact same builds basically) but part throttle was a little weak on aed... I say the perfect tune would have been JLP part throttle with AED wot and transmission.
Just FYI I beat my rides hard daily, and mechanic can vouch for that lol, and aed and jlp have held up with my driving except the Trans issue which was totally my fault lol.( most things are) 😃

My stock engine went boom on a JDM tune that went lean. Jlp is a very racy tune, Troyers are great tunes and very safe. I currently have a vmp tune that I had the dyno tune.. 680 on 93 with 16-17lbs of boost

I had jlp bring the finicky throttle back to somewhere between stock and his and he adjusted the part throttle shifts to a nice bump instead of a thud and wot was pretty decent as well.

Oh, my bad, forgot you never had the Lund tune. This is why I want the people with the tunes to speak up so the OP can get the best information.

Btw, I sold the 3.2 pulley to I believe azdriver.

Thanks king for chiming in!
