I loved the update as well...I was soooo happy...for 2-3 days, it was short lived. The first day after the update it wasn't so good..tranny relearn, etc. The next two days I was thrilled...much more responsive, seemed super strong and smooth, getting on the freeway got the tires to chirp at 40 mph. The truck ran fantastic and I couldn't have been happier.

But slowly this all went away, and the miss up hills and during hard acceleration came back after having the updates for about 4 days. Had it almost 2 weeks now.

I picked new plugs up to do myself over the weekend but work stuff came up...now we have a snow storm. Had an appointment at the dealer Weds so I'll probably just let them look at it, just no time. Plus the more I think about it...I don't want to touch it and give them a way "out".

My Dealer Finally agreed to updating my Truck with the New CAC and has Ordered the 12-10-19 TSB Parts. He stated that there are 4,000 of them on Backorder and Requested it on an Emergency Basis!!!! He's afraid I am going to BLOW UP ANOTHER MOTOR!!!!!!!!!!!
Of Course this is AFTER I Blew Up the Original Motor and they returned it to me after OVER 30 Days of me being without it.
When I got the Truck Back after they Rebuilt it with a Short Block, I was driving it home (56 Miles Away) and as I got on it to enter the Highway and it Started Sputtering and Misfiring again. I let off of it rather than Blowing Up another Motor and called and returned it to the Dealership who asked me to "Take it Easy with it" until they can do the TSB when the Parts Arrive.
My Truck is still uder the Original 3 Year 36,000 Mile Power Train Warranty and 24 Month 24,000 Mile Lemon Law Coverage.
If your still Under Warranty "BLOW IT UP" and have them Replace it and after they have to Repair a FEW Motors they'll get OFF their *****ES and Fix the Problem CORRECTLY or ISSUE a RECALL for Them.

It seems to have fixed the slight surge or miss fire in 6th gear at 1,200 rpm up hills. Why do they reprogram the computer is my question.

Later Mark.

Question

No CEL but they've agreed to update mine per the TSB. Advised seven parts were ordered, only part left to come in after two weeks is a "larger intercooler."

I don't have time to read all previous post, will the update help with mpg? I avg. 15.4 with most of my travel on highways. I was told low mpg was due to gear ratios.

This past week I've started to experience the shudder (actual shaking of the cab) when accelerating during a long high speed drive.

I had the update done back in February. Since then, my problem has gotten progressively worse. The shudder is extremely bad when towing my boat. Went for a ride with the service manager and he acknowledged that there was definitely a problem and they needed to get the engineer in it. After a couple weeks of events out of my control, I finally get a response from the engineer that I am to just keep driving it for another 2 weeks and there is a new update coming out that MAY fix the issue. I can tell you that whatever I have going on is not going to be fixed by a simple PCM update. I took the truck to them today and they are going to run some other tests on it. Really like these trucks when they are running right, but I am regretting buying this one terribly. Too many problems and concerns fall on deaf ears.
