Shattered window? Damn

When did it shatter? While driving? Parked and noticed it later?

Damn

Damn MapleLake, I think your truck has half of the problems wrong with all F150's! I dont think your nitpicking! The shatter pass rear window is another known problem with these trucks, theres a couple of threads on it alone! Id sart pushing for some kind of a Buyback or good trade in!!!

You didn't, by chance, name your truck Christine did you? I'm pretty sure there's a TSB about renaming it to another name in case you did.

Well, dealer got it covered.

It was weird...-14 that morning. Warmed my truck up and drove 12 miles to work. Everything was fine. Parked it for an hour and a half and hit the remote start for 15 min. Hopped in to leave and it was broken. 2000 miles left on bumper to bumper...

Guys, you might want to talk to your insurance company about glass coverage. It only added a few bucks (like $6) to my policy every 6 months and when the back glass on my wife's Envoy busted a couple years back it was all covered...no deductible. Otherwise it would've been $1200 to replace (or $500 comprehensive deducible).

I'm really glad it didn't fall into the cab and scratch the leather. Not to mention it was 2 hrs before leaving to go on an ice fishing trip.

I really don't want to trade the truck in. Even with the issues I do like it a lot...I am a very patient person haha. I would like Ford to step up with an extended warranty. Don't know if thats too much to ask or not...I'm not too PO'd or irrational about it...I'll ask customer care politely and see what they have to say. Its just that this will be the 5th time to the dealer in less than 1.5 yrs...with a 6th trip coming as soon as my new IC comes in.

I use my truck for work and its more than a small hassle to move my mobile office back and forth every time it goes in.

The new IC will be the 3rd attempted fix. I worry how the misfire has gotten worse...and how the previous fixes seem to have taken some power away. This was confirmed this weekend hauling a 6x14 open trailer. It downshifted on hills where it didn't used to hauling an 8x24 trailer. The way it towed was one of the main reasons I bought it.

See what the next couple months brings I guess.

Your definitely more patient than me the busted window would of been the last straw! Seems like these F150's have waay too many issues! If Im lucky enough to make it my normal 5 yrs 100k miles without anymore big issues, I think this will be not only my 1st Ford, but last as well!

I don't know if you have a topper on your truck or not, but once I added one the road noise was horrid.
Even if you don't have a topper and the barometric dampers are stuck open you are going to have a bunch of road noise.

Hopefully this helps, and with all the issues your truck is having no wonder your so hard on the guys with more 'minor' problems.

No topper, I'll take a look though thanks. Mine just seems to come right through where the door meets the cab, in the corners above my left ear as I'm driving. I'll take a look at those though, thanks.
