I would not consider it nitpicking at all then. Remember, your dealer is not doing any of this work for free. They get paid a pretty well to diagnose and repair warranty issues.

Well...CAC ordered...supposedly Ford told them 2 months.

Driveshaft clunk...they actually said Ford has a repair kit...which is also backordered several weeks. I was surprised to hear this, haven't seen that on here before.

Radio...supposedly they need a lil direction.

Wind noise...they said nothing wrong. Asked the service manager if HE took it for a ride. He said no. I said, well its pretty obvious when the truck you gave me is way quieter. I asked him to please personally take it for a drive in the morning.

4x4....actually just realized he made no mention of that.

Shudder on acceleration...I dropped it, don't want them attempting it.

4-3 downshift....reset adaptive learning

Kinda disappointed on their wind noise conclusion...hope the service manager actually drives it tomorrow. The only thing I wonder is if that extra noise is coming from the tow mirrors...really sounds luke door seal though.

Its good you took it in beofre the warranty expires. But I swear, the cabin in my truck is very quiet. Even with a headwind, I find the cabin very quiet. No wind noise at all.

Says 4x4 they couldn't find anything wrong. That one worries me.

Took another look at the door and they said they were gonna try to bring the tops of the doors in a little.

Picking it up tomorrow morning, then a waiting game until the parts come in for the CAC and driveshaft clunk.

There is no way these trucks are loud inside. If yours is, I would make sure they find the issue. My 2011 is alot quieter and a friends 2010! Man that sucks with all the issues you have. Did they start right away or just progressively happen along the way?

The clunk I really started noticing a couple months ago. Radio issues were from day 1. I had doubts about the 4x4 working properly about a year ago. Wind noise has always been there. Missfire/condensation started over a year ago. 4-3 harsh downshift has been there about a year. Shudder on acceleration has been there since day 1.

I always look first at if I'm being unreasonable with some of the issues, but really don't think I am. I know the noise one is probably a huge headache for dealers...but as I said it really makes it obvious when the '09 they gave me as a loaner is much quieter in the cab.

The one I'm really nervous about is the 4x4...especially since its really only used in the Winter and hunting season, so the time in between it getting used can be 20,000 miles...gets past warranty quick. Does anybody know if the 4x4 is under the 60k mile warranty, or bumper to bumper?

I've been doing a lot of thinking on this, and I don't want to cause problems for the dealer whatsoever, they are great. But after dealing with the misfire/loss of power issue for well over a year...and still not expecting a "possible" fix until the parts come in up to 2 months from now...I'd feel much better if Ford would step up and give me extended warranty.

My truck had each TSB applied dealing with this issue, and none of them worked(same as others experience). And as time passes, the issues have gotten worse and are experienced more and more often.

I and being completely calm and friendly about this, I have no problems with the dealer or Ford Corp. I just would feel much better about my truck if Ford would stand up and warranty it for longer. Think this is too much to ask? Is the only way to really get this done to talk to Ford Customer Care?

The main reason I started thinking about this was that the service manager brought up if I wanted to BUY extended warranty as I was getting close to the end.

I had a similar issue in my new dodge dakota many years ago, had a bad lifter issue they just could not fix,, brought the truck in 3 times and they replaced everything they could think of before they gave up. dodge/dealer gave me a 100k warranty for my inconvenience, i never asked for it but they did this to give me peice of mind that if the truck crapped out after warranty they would fix it. Of course i ran truck for 136k and traded in and never had an issue just annoying lifter tap the whole time. I dont think it is too much to ask for, but like any good dealership, i think they should offer this to you or at least at dealer cost to give you piece of mind. I think Ford is so overwhelmed with this CAC issue in there over-hyped informercial engine they would go broke giving warranties away. This is why i bought the 7yr/100k premium care warranty on my 2013, becuase of the issues i read here.

Add shattered rear window for no apparent reason:

I don't know if Ford Corp is gonna cover this either. I won't lie I'm starting to get a little frustrated.
