I think someone on here had the same problem before and it was the shift solenoids...Its highly unlikely that you broke anything, but I guess time will tell.

Would it make grinding kinda noises if it were that?

How were you're shifts prior to the breakage? If you need a rebuild let me know because there's a couple upgrades you'll want to do while you're in there.

I remember reading the eco and 6.2 use a slightly different transmission (internal) than the 5.0 and 3.7. My memory is a bit foggy since it's been a couple of years. Maybe just the 3.7 is different. I would check into this a bit more if I was doing a rebuild.

Have you heard any news on your truck, NOLAGT? Feel free to contact me via PM if you need my help; be sure to include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership in your message.

got more info on the truck. As expected the ford tec line asked if the truck was modded...once they found out it was they said it voided the warentee...and now they want to charge me. Funny thing is the error codes....P0770 and P0773 that both relate to the shifting Solinoid...the very thing I had issues with 1500 miles into owning the truck and BECORE a single mod was done. It also had P0148...something about the fuel delivery system...could be something related I guess or could be random?

Fordservace I sent you a PM...please help. It seems like a no brainier since I had the same issues before.

5.0, Eco, and 6.2 use the same transmission. The 3.7 uses the same transmission, however there is less clutch material on the clutch disks.

Those won't be caused increased power, that's a manufacturer defect. That fact that you had this problem before any mods is proof of this too. Them going out could cause other damage too.

If you knew you had transmission issues before putting more power through it, it's your own fault for not getting it fixed before modding it. That's just common sense.

Good thing I had it fixed before adding the blower then. Maybe you mis read...had 1500 miles on the truck and had a solenoid issue. Ford fixed it under warentee. Then added blower and now a year and a half later same issue at 32k miles...this time it broke stuff. The first time it happened I was minutes from a dealership so pulled right in. This last time it slammed into 2nd 4-5 times before I could pull off a busy hwy and by then it was making the grinding sounds.

After the first time I tried to make them put a whole new trany in because I knew I was putting the roush kit on and this would happen. They did t and now here I am.
