Dodge doesn't have cp4 injection pump. They still have cp3. Duramax and cummins used them in the past now duramax has cp4 and have problems too they just don't deny warranty on it. I love my ram 2500 diesel
I like my ecoboost
For what it's worth

Fords, duramaxs and vws use cp4. They are bad news... I have read about a few different situations where warranty was denied and bills were 10k for pump rail and injectors. Same happening on gms confirmed by diesel tech @ local gm dealer. They see any rust and denied wif light or not.

Yes I know what dodge uses. I've been a cummins fan since I was 12yrs old and have built several common rails over 600 and one at 923. It's laughable that you think dodge won't void warranties if they find the same thing. Lest we forget, the common rails are known for dropping injectors. There's an expensive fix. But it's your money. Having owned a 6.7 ford and tinkered with enough 6.7 cummins, the ford is the better truck and engine.

I am aware of the injector failures as I have replaced several at work... they are usaully over 150k. I am not concerned with that. I am concerned thst people with 20k are being stuck with 10k repair bills caused by a part being investigated by nhtsa.

I dont disagree with u. I feel thats fords truck and the rest of the drivetrain is probably superior the idea of stomaching a bill like that while still under warranty is painful. Bottom line is I traded an hour ago for an f350 lariat... talked to insurance man and water in fuel line of bs is covered in my policy so not gonna think about it anymore.
