Default Trade 4.6 for 5.0?

I have a 2006 4.6 Ford f150 xlt scab 2wd with over 141,000 miles im the 2nd owner ive had it for 7 months. I been thinking about trading it for a 2011-2012 ford f150 5.0 xlt srew 4x4 with under 60,000 miles(looking to start a family within 5 years). Im a huge ford truck fan I talk alot of s**t to ram(2010 hemi) and chevy drivers that the 4.6 cant back up. Question is will the trade be worth it ,will be a dd i like to go fast sometimes do a little off roading(nothing crazy) and load stuff in the bed help ppl move . Any links to pros and cons of the 5.0 is it better all around then the 4.6 i know it is power and performance wise what about durability? Dont have to comment just post links to my answers... OH can it smoke a 2010 ram with a hemi? hahahhahaha

The 5.0 coyote is a marvelous motor, in general. Very technologically advanced, very robust and very deceiving, especially in the truck platform. You treat it right and it'll be a long lived worker-bee.

Yes it's far stronger than your 4.6. But both motors have the same flaw, they are car engines stuffed into a truck. So the 5.0 will behave like your 4.6 with little low rpm torque but build hp well past halfway to redline. But the 5.0 will have more power everywhere in the range. Doubt a 5.0 would beat a hemi. Fot that you need a 6.2 oe ecoboost.

Go look at my YouTube, I smashed on a SRT-10 in my 5.0L, I hate that people talk with out 1st hand knowledge. Yes you can beat a Hemi in a 5.0L, yes you can beat a Tremor in a 5.0L, Yes you can beat a 6.2L with a 5.0L, and yes you can beat a car in a 5.0L F-150 cause I have done it.

I've had no concern with 2 HEMI's I've ran up against. One was a coworker that validates it.

Nope, my little SSI tuned 5.0 SCREW with 3.31 gears has yet to lose to a HEMI from a dig or a rolling stop. Not sure where you get your facts from. There is a HUGE difference in power between the 4.6 and 5.0. In 2006 the 2V 4.6 made 220 HP and 265TQ. The 5.0 in the truck makes 360HP and 380TQ.....Maths....practice them lol.

Some guys just like spreading the myth that the 5.0 doesnt generate any torque down low....
