There is a fix for the condensation build up in the intercooler!

Ho about a broken piston from hydrolock? Customer had the shudder, and after one recent episode had low power and misfires after it. Checked plugs and coils, all fine. Did comp test and #5 was low. dropped boroscope in the cylinder and all looked fine, so yesterday dropped engine out and removed heads. All looked good excep #5 had some slight scouring (engine made NO noise or knocking). So dropped oil pan and found chunks of piston, pulled pistons and here is what we found:
Drill hole would have prevented this, but he had TSB's done and was told there was no issue anymore. Out of warranty also.

Even if this isn't true and it was just a regular spring day you have yet to provide a good explanation why these issues are seasonal if your theory is correct.
Why have I not seen a report of a shudder/misfire/hydrolock in winter if that is the time of year when the flawed PCV system should be dumping extra water in the CAC based on what the cans catch? Why is it always spring warm weather when threads complaining about the misfire show up every year?
2+2=4
Until you come up with a good explanation why this is the case you have nothing but a theory.

Also how tuned was this truck? Cause the chance of hydrolock even if you experience the issue is extremely low.
And I also wonder why the first stop is a speed shop? I know if it were me I'd be having a nice chat with my dealer and Ford.

Bone stock truck, no tune, no CAI, no drill hole, and no rain. Small biz owner. Temps in the 70's here. Is out of warranty and he already had all the TSB's done over the past year. We are not a speed shop. We are a R&D and production facility. We design and manufacture products for the aftermarket as well as some OEM.

I'm sure there are many other mechanics in this forum but they never seem to find any broken Eco's at their shops!

Another Ecoboost "issue" only a catch can will fix... Where have we seen this before?

Only had to search for a few minutes to find many threads on catastrophic engine failure here....and dirty valves are hardly "broken" engines.
read page 1, and then to the page Ford diagnoses it:

I'd say the guy I showed pictures of got away pretty easy as only the piston and rod assy needed replaced.

So the catch can prevents:
- wot shudder/mis-fire
- poor fuel mileage
- power loss with mileage
- valve deposits
- acid, water, fuel in the oil
- broken pistons
- bent rods
- worn out valves and valve guides
- pre-ignition
- piston deposits
- catalytic converter faults
- compressor wheel erosion
Did I miss anything? That's quite a dragon that needs slaying!
