The CAC doesn't fix it either. I have that and mine still has the shudder, mileage went to ****, and now it's throwing codes for a lean condition.

Mine was built in Nov. of 2012 and has all the new stuff, but has the problem during moist weather when towing during acceleration. They had one of their flight recorders on it for a month and didn't get a code. I'm hoping some of the lawsuits starting up will get them to work a bit harder because there is definitely a problem. With all the things they have done it's about 90% fixed.

+1 Now that the government is involved with investigating this problem maybe we'll get some answers and a real fix. Mine has done it only a couple times when it was raining. The scary thing is it did it once when I tried to pull out on a 2 lane highway and make a pass. I managed to get by in the right lane before reaching on coming traffic but it scared the crap out of my son and me. I sure hope it doesn't take somebody getting killed to fix this problem but I can easily see this problem causing a situation where someone gets killed or seriously injured.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Is this a joke?

I had it happen pulling a 8000lb travel trailer on I-75 where it was 3 lanes. I had been driving in pouring rain for about 3 hours. I pulled out to pass a slow vehicle in the RH lane and it just fell on it's face and slowed to about 30 mph. Buy then trucks were passing me on both sides blowing their horns and with all the road slop from them because I was going 30mph in the center lane. It was on a slight hill where normally it would have gone up to 65 with no effort. I stopped at a rest area and called Ford and they were no help and gave no recommendations other than call a dealer locally. No one acknowledged a problem or gave any advice. I'm from Mi. and this happened in Tenn. It never happened the rest of the trip, but it is a very dangerous issue.
What is really maddening is I can't get a straight answer whether it can be fixed or if they are working on it.

It would be interesting to find out if this is happening to the Ecoboost in other platforms and engine configurations, or if it is completely unique to the F-150.

Seems everybody with this problem is still under warranty. If not, it would seem you could weld a blow-off valve to the bottom of the intercooler. No more condensation in there.

...or just drill a tiny hole. Could it be so simple?
