Superchips tuner v sc x4
Sold my superchips tuner for $200 ( used it for 30k miles) and upgraded to the sct x4. Initial impressions are the x4 at 87 canned tune is close to,superchips. But it seems the shift points are a bit more optimal an it shifts down easier.
Get my custom mpt tunes next week and will, report back. I bought
93 perf/race
91 perf/race
87 perf/street
89tow/chill
87 tow/chill
I tow 25' chaparral so wanted a good tow tune for the 8k lb total, load. Superchips was either not rated to tow or their tow tunes caused pinging for me, so on,unused it once to tow-part of why I sold it.
Note the x4 had to update for an hour before I could use it and the wireless wifi, while great, did NOT allow it to do all updates. You need to go old school and connect to pc to get that last update or you get an error code when attempting to upload a tune while the types says it's fully updated..... If others have that issue, pm me and I will see if I can help since I wasted two hours figuring this out. Sigh.
