Strong gas smell at idle...
I did a search and I could not find what I am experiencing. I know the ecoboost runs rich on start-up, buuuuut....
If I start truck and let it idle I get a strong fuel smell. It sometimes smells like it it is coming from the exhaust pipes and other from near the cab. It'll stay that way as long as it is idling. (I also checked for a leak and haven't found one to date).
My wife says that she noticed it prior to the tune and never said anything. Is it pretty normal or do I have an issue?
If it's an issue I'll need to return the truck to stock and KAM. Also does anyone have any ideas of how many drive cycles it should take for the "interuption in connection codes to reset"? They are gray and cannot be reset with tq pro just read. (there are 5 'u' codes all related to lost communication which is normal)

I'm assuming no one else has this problems or experienced it...

I have a slight exhaust smell when the truck is idling. I don't think its the tune, I only started noticing it after I installed my exhaust. I have checked for leaks and haven't found any either, mine isn't bad enough that it bothers me though.

good to know, that's when I think mine started....I crawled under the truck and tightened everything. I may have had a small exhaust leak, I tightened the band clamp and wiped clean the pipe. I'll see if this is it, and I doubt it's the tune...just got me thinking about the cats, and I know ford will not cover that now that I'm tuned.

I had to give it hell to get the exhaust to NOT leak where to bolts to the DP's. I bet I was under there three times before it sealed and I didn't feel any leaks. I should probably check it again though.

I guess if the cats burn up it will give me a reason to get downpipes, and just turn the rear 02 sensor off. I've seen where people have had issues with the cats.

I just started noticing this after 40k miles. I'm actually smelling it in the cab coming out of the vents. Some times it's very faint and others it's pretty strong. I initiall thought it might be a leak but there is no smell of gas under the hood that I can tell. Did anybody ever figure out where it's coming from?
Does anybody know where the fresh air intake is for the A/C?
