mudding I would go with ecoboost, depends on how much you tow. I only tow 5-6k now a days so I ordered an ecoboost last week. I currenly have a 6.7 diesel. But if you plan on towing all the time go with the 5.0 or 6.2

I'm going with the Eco boost.. After watching the torture test videos I'd be stupid not to.. 2011 black supercrew 4x4 f150 with the Ecoboost and 20 inch rims is gonna be my new truck in a few days

This is a set of videos that show the power of the EcoBoost over others V-8's.
These are a series of "Built Ford Tough" Challenge videos that are interesting. BFT has been traveling the country and this series is videos filmed by some guys out of Mountain View Ford of Chattanooga that went to Atlanta GA for the driving experience. Its been raining so the roads are damp (keep that in mind as you watch them). They are pulling 6,500 lb trailers.

#16 of 22 2011 Ford F-150 BFT Roundup -- 2011 Dodge Ram Hemi Towing Test vs Ecoboost 3.5L Atlanta
#16 of 22 is where they have already driven the EcoBoost (video # 15 of 22) and now they are in the Doge Hemi. Once they hit a shift point going up a hill, they drop down on the torque curve and can no longer accelerate up the grade on the interstate.
EcoBoost Drive:

Before Test drive they set and watch demo of dyno of the different trucks
#14 of 22 2011 Ford F-150 BFT Roundup -- Ford Ecoboost Dyno Test F-150 Dyno
Keep in mind these are sponsered by Ford but still some interesting results for EcoBoost.
Some of the other videos #xx of 22 they put them through 1/8 mile Time Trials. EcoBoost takes most V-8. Also keep in mind these are not professional drivers and they don't all know how to time the "getting off the line" with a christmas tree light.
