Default Strategy code KGCH7C4?

Title correction: Should be KGCH7C4...

-----------

Anybody know if SCT or other tuners have tunes available for this strategy code yet?

------------

Update: SCT has evidently updated to their programming to work with this strategy code. They were supposed to notify me when it was incorporated, but overall I'm just glad they did the update.

KGCH7C4 was what Ford installed with a PCM update in late March.

just got my tuner today and plugged it in and it says my ecu isn't supported an additonal upgrade is needed.

Does this mean I'm in the same boat of having an unsupported strategy code?

Call SCT and let them know. They may already know but it doesn't hurt to call them. I have found calling them to be very helpful!

No, that's usually seperate if it just says needing an update, just means typically you need a mini update. Download and install the SCT Updater program off SCT website, tech tab, and once that's done, plug the tuner into the computer with the USB, and click on Check for Updates, will prob pop up red saying update needed, just click yes and let it update.

Yup, frequently the strategy code isn't loaded on the tuner, but the tuner can be updated with the PC based SCT updater. My issue was that even after an update, the strategy code was unsupported. It was fairly new code from Ford, released in early March.

PS, I think I'm missing a digit in my strategy code... went off my notes and must have copied it wrong.

Great to hear.

When using the canned tunes, always important to update the tuner first before plugging it in for the first time. Will always get you the most up to date tunes from SCT.

Thanks... Strategy code is KGCH7C4. (Was missing the first 'C').

With a tuner device update earlier tonight, the SCT is now updating my PCM with this strategy code.
