Hi, my truck has been at the dealer since Thursday evening. Hopefully it will be fixed and I won't have to try more things.

Hi, crash_ice; Would it be possible for you to post a copy of your repair order showing your concerns and what was done to your truck to fix it. [blocking your personal information] My dealer still insists that it is normal. I was taken for a test drive in a similar vehicle and it did the same thing as mine, but I'm still not totally convinced that this is normal and not fixable.

Hi, truck still in the shop and no phone calls. Noise that happened once may be vacuum hubs trying to activate at full throttle. Maybe Monday I will get some good or bad news.

Hi, since I haven't received any phone calls from my Ford dealer, I drove my Lincoln there to see what was happening. Nothing! The shop foreman said they couldn't find anything wrong with my vacuum hubs. And still insists that the sheet metal rattling noise, at around 2000 RPM, is normal for engines with turbos. I will pick it up tomorrow and pay for my third key, and my free oil change.

Is there anyone on this forum who's Ecoboost F-150 doesn't make this noise, that is considered as normal?

Hi, today I picked up my truck and paid for my third key. The noise is still there and I still have a hard time believing that this noise is normal.

I have a 2013 3.5L ecoboost Platinum 120k miles

What I have been experiencing is a metallic screeching while accelerating or while under a load going up a hill, that started in JUNE 2016 and has become more pronounced ever since. Any acceleration the screeching sounds is prominent. Under hard acceleration it literally turns other peoples heads with a cringe look on their face. Its terrible. I have taken it to 2 different Ford Dealerships in Oklahoma. One dealership spent 2 days on it and could not identify why. The other dealership fixed one issue with the plugs being burnt and misfires on #2 and #4, which resulted in repetitive shaking and sputtering, rough idling, extreme power loss, and delayed shifting. They did not resolve the turbo issue. They told me that the turbos are indeed going out but were not going to be covered under my extended warranty because they have not gone out YET.
That's the same logic as not replacing a tire, because it hasn't blown out yet.
I feel that these turbos need to be replaced without a doubt.
I'm in a bind. I work everyday and always need my truck. I get paid for my truck. I only have 800 miles left on the extended warranty.

I'm almost to point of trading it in or getting rid of it as highly disappointed as I am in it.

I have little hope for any other dealership...I feel like I'm getting shafted either way I go.

Any suggestions?
