Default Stock max boost problem

I have been only getting 10 lbs of max boost when I try my hardest what's going on with it? I have a 2014 ecoboost I have a catch can it's been tuned before but currently stock. I have a boost gauge I'm reading the boost from. Thinking something is wrong some people are telling me 13-14 lbs

It all depends on altitude, I barely see 10lbs at 7200'

But if you are close to sea level is be checking for leaks.

I run 10 psi stock up until WOT, basically only goes to 10psi unless absolutely floored. Then I can see up to 11-12. It will also depend slightly on the gas.

But check hose clamps for anything lose. If nothing then check the bov(s) for tears.

I'm at 1300 feet above sea level.

I did about 9 wot runs tonight I saw a spike of 14 then after that I had consistent 12 psi wot runs. Is it normal to slowly drop off as I kept accelerating? The higher the rpms went the lower the psi would drop I'd drop from 12 to 9 psi then on my way home I was at normal 5-6 psi 60 mph 1500 rpm

Also now that I have been listening to the turbos more I noticed that if I'm driving along not really accelerating at about 2-3 psi the turbo whistle disappears then I step on the gas harder and it jumps right to 5-6 psi a wosh of air and the whistle comes back what the heck is all that about.

Lol a canned tune will barely get you 16psi. Let a lone stock.

Yes the boost will drop off a bit at the top of the rpm range.

Your numbers seem right. Nothing is wrong as far as I can tell. Have you had any ecu flashes lately by the dealership?

Not that I know of. It was in getting a new transmission. I think the people on that Facebook page are on something. Now they are saying my bov is leaking.

It is possible for the BOV to be leaking, there have been some cases. Plus you will see in one of my posts that I suggested to see if it is torn. But usually they couldn't get over 8 or 9 psi. You are saying you are getting 12psi. The reason why I asked about a flash is that on the most recent one the dealership did on my truck really changed how the boost was made, normally at 1/2 to 2/3 throttle I was at 12 psi, now it is full throttle.

Throw the tuner back on it and see if the strategy number is different. That and maybe throw a tune on it and see if you boost comes back. If you can hit 17-18psi then you do not have a leak.

Yes you can pressurize from the intake. That isn't a problem. Just need to cap it off.
