Well a pic is worth a thousand words...and your few words without any reasoning or substance meant nothing. Done with this little spat since you seem so worried about semantics more than info. Have a good day

Like i've stated before. No Aftermarket part is needed. But lots are beneficial.

The majority of people who disagree with CC's are people who trade in their vehicle every 3-5 years.

That being said there are lots with dry intercoolers and a few people with 200,000+miles with no issues without a can.

Each truck is different, you need to take a look and see what your truck needs.

Subscribed for tow results. I just ordered a Wagner so I'm anxious to hear how it perfoms...

Pulled TT (7400#) to Port A from New Braunfels...headwind...about 8.7mpg. Minimally better than before. Big change was IAT (Intake Air Temps from LiveWire TS))...consistently 17 to 21 degrees lower than outside temps. The higher the outside temps, the closer to 21 degrees diff. Had temps at 89 degrees and IAT at 68 degrees.

Came back without TT and made runs at different speeds.

74 mpg...18.9mpg for a solid hour from a stop for gas.
80 mph...16.5mpg for the second hour from a moving 80mph.

Not that bad in my book. There was a small tailwind for both the above runs.
Running the 5Star 93 P/T Tune.

Damn that's pretty good. The other night I monitored IAT and the best I got was 3° above ambient (86°) with my stock CAC. And even then, it took about 15 minutes to get down that low. Can't wait for my Wagner to come in on Wednesday.

Definitely more efficient...Top part of IC had a protruding frame built to direct incoming air better. I think with this IC, an Ecoboost could put lights in the lower opening without affecting performance. I mean the 2015's have moved the License Plate to the middle (probably to help with IC condensation IMO). I do have a dual valve RX Catch can on the way to help keep the intake system cleaner...and somehow I ordered Catted Downpipes to boot.

Sure you got those temps right? IAT will not go below ambient

I do have to say it was raining for most of the trip to Port A. I will need to check the IAT reading on the Livewire again on a hot dry day...

I should remember that you really can't, because of the law of thermo dynamics cool below ambient temps without some sort of water/alcohol surface spray/added fuel (Miller Woods) and all...

Well I got my Wagner in. Stock CAC had about a tablespoon of oily goo in it. I have about 4500 miles.

Already noticed way lower IATs. 2° above ambient at 35 mph. Way better than the stocker so far.
