Start up Noise TSB
I talked to ford today and there is a TSB 11-11-15
My mechanic is going to try this before replacing cam chains and tensioners.
It involves a service kit ford sends out and they work on the left hand side camshafts.
Part Number
AT4Z-6A296-A KIT CAMSHAFT OIL PLUG
BR3Z-6584-C GASKET-CAM COVER-LH
PM-4-A MOTOR-CRAFT METAL BRAKE PARTS CLEANER
Operation :120117a
2011 f-150Install Cup Plugs and Adjust Groove Depth IN The Camshaft Caps Following The Service Procedure.
I don't think this is going to fix it but i can be optimistic .

That TSB number and the parts you listed are for the 3.7L ticking issue reported on some cars a few years ago. I wonder if they are trying the same thing on the 3.5EB now.
Edit... It looks like there is a TSB that supersedes the 11-11-15. Newer one is 12-1-17, but the symptoms don't really match what others are reporting on here.

That bulletin wouldn't apply to my truck because it was built after 5-2011. The rattle that most complain of lasts for only seconds, not 10 minutes. Frankly, I think it'll be a waste of time.

Ok, but realize that another dealer just told an owner that the noise was from his engine being a quart low on oil and that they had to perform a "oil consumption analysis" first. On my engine they had to replace the cam phaser first and then came back to tell me that my timing chain was also stretched which would be an additional repair. The point is that Ford corporate tells the dealer what to fix and corporate isn't able to connect the dots as to what the problem is. This results in multiple trips to the dealer, repairs not being completed before the warranty runs out and some people jumping brands.
