Default stage 3 3.7 kits

Anyone have experience with these kits? Just about bought the phase 2 kit then started thinking about 3 or 4. Dont really want exhaust on the v6 as I personally dont like the sound esp on a crew cab full size truck but if the gains are worth it? I know my '10 4.6 had a factory straight thru muffler I assume the 3.7 is the same so im not really buying hp gains from a catback?

Oh and I want the programmer because i know with 5 star tunes itll be worth it, also changing tire/gear ratio...the intake i could take or leave but its basically free from stage 3 in the kit.

Personally I don't think the exhaust is worth any gains, your best bang for the buck will honestly be with the tuner. And u can do an intake for a little more noise and maybe a slight increase in throttle response. Hope this helps

Thanks pretty much my thoughts. The phase 4 includes a larger throttle body.......

your best bet is to do a twin turbo kit.. im sure 500 hp is easily obtainable with the 3.7 and you'd be faster than a full bolt on Eco F150

Um ya but thats alot of $ and has alot of potential for reliability issues.

Im 33, have owned lots of vehicles and have modded all of em so I know none of these kits are going to make a huge increase in power. Im not looking for huge hp, like I said main reason for the programmer is to account for tire/gear change, was more looking for anyone who has bought any of these kits from stage 3 (or the same components) to chime in.

then you already know you should have spent the extra $$ when you bought the truck to get the 5.0 because with simple mods on the 3.7 you will never make that much power

Man, honestly the throttle body will help slightly with your throttle response a little as well. But if I were oh I would just do the afe intake and a tune and call it a day. It will be the biggest change over stock and u will be able to change your tire size and gear ratio as needed
