I am getting this squealing noise when i hammer on it. It almost sounds like a boost leak or a pulley. Any body else have this problem?

is it only under load or even when you just rev the engine while in neutral?

when i think squealing i think belt or pulley.

It's called wheel/tire slip in some circles. :>)


Or water pump bearings ?

I have the same situation. Drive 65 mph, slight up hill grade, put the turbos under heavy load, I hear a strange sound/squeal. Not sure what it is...pressure venting from the turbo system? I don't know but easy to reproduce. Probably will take it into the dealer this fall since the engine is performing well and there are no check engine lights.

Mine has gotten worse ... I will take a video tomorrow. I am to busy right now to bring my truck in, which sucks a big one.

Same as above. Truck has 4700 miles, sound started about half way in. No rhyme or reason why/when it does it, but it does. Ive also noticed it at times when I park the truck; tap the throttle and it goes away.

Wondering if it could be a leak coming from the exhaust manifold...I believe there were a few having noises because the manifold had warped and Ford replaced the manifolds and it fixed it
