Saw on thread that someone did a comparison of Speed Vs. MPG. Didnt want to steel the thread so lets see if we can do an information thread, and keep small talk out. If available drive a minimum of 5 miles and take an average reading list info as followed.

the following are all approx #'s, traveling level roads cruising with no stops:
55 = 24.6 mpg
60 = 23.5 mpg
65 = 22 mpg
70 = 21 mpg
75 = 19.5 mpg
Have posted a couple of photos - a typical commute into Houston's NW side (easy to get 20+MPG) and a second with about three tanks worth (some high speeds, a few romps and back and forth from office to home to an almost nightly football practice for the kids) averaging 18.7 MPG.
PS - You HAVE to stay off the GO PEDAL, if you want good mileage...

Its not too bad up to about 75 or so, after that, huge drop off. Went to Arizona and back a few weeks ago from Houston. In west Tx speed limit is 80 so I was cruising at about 85 with gusty cross winds and really hilly terrain, that averaged barely over 12. My commute to work an dback everyday is at about 60-65 so around town the 6.2 isnt bad.

Ran a 10 mile each way used the pause feature before cancelling cruise and then turn around and reset cruise once back up to speed resumed the trip. This run had an overpass every mile, and it seemed that it lost more going up than it gained going down. If traffic running over me I would have done 50 and I believe I could easily get over 30. 60 was the speed limit so I didnt do 75 because I would be running over people. I never had to get off cruise or accelerate due to traffic so this was pretty good runs.
