Default Solo Mach46

Hey guys I have an 2011 Eco with Airaid CAI, besides that truck is stock. I was thinking of getting the Solo Mach 46 after reading all the info I could find on the exhaust systems. I know I'm not going to get the V8 sound and thats fine. Im looking for this for performance not so much sound. A couple things tho I was hoping you guys could help out with. Seems like most guys are saying their getting some MPG increases which will be great, I already get great mpg average 21.3 so far with 14,000 miles.

1. I havent been able to find any performance info on the mach 46...as dyno, HP increases. I know its not going to be a lot of HP increase but would still like to know if there is any changes. On Solo website I couldn't find anything either.

2. Ive never installed a system like this either. I can do the little things...oil change, tire rotation, and brakes. So really how easy is the install if I bought a kit?

3. Has anyone tried getting the Mach 46 Muffler and getting the 4" pipes separate and putting it together themselves to save money?

Thanks in advance.

Funny! I just posted a similar question earlier this week ! Go back a page or so to find it !

I placed an order for mine this week. So should be getting it on next week ?

When I put that similar question to Rick at Solo, he responded with a 20 HP increase and 1 to 2 mpg ! So I would guess that would be in the ballpark ?

It's been proven by other folks that there is no power gain to be had with a cat back system. The factory muffler is a straight through design (you can drop a racquet ball completely through it) and offers very little restriction. If you gain any mileage it'll be very small.

Man, where we you the other day when I posted that question ?

Oh well ! I wanted for increased economy anyway !

I heard that the CIA only added noise to an Eco also ?

Let's see the proof. Ive seen several dyno runs of 10-20 increases.

And I'm here to tell you there for sure are mpg gains. 1-3 mpg. I beat my old mpg record on a trip I run regularly by a solid 3mpg.

Yes sir !
My old Dodge was cat backed for years(222,000 miles and the kid still has it at school)! But I have become accustomed to the quiet ! Kind of like the Casper the ghost thing as the blue flashes past !
Do you feel that you gained economy from the CIA ?

Please keep the reviews coming! I am seriously considering the Mach46. The other solo kits just seem a lil too loud for my taste. Any video's of the 46?

Im not really sure for a fact that I was getting better mpg with it. Before I put the CAI on I was getting 18 to 19 but the truck was still brand new and not broke in, plus it was colder weather out. When I put it on it was warming up outside, summertime, and had more miles on the truck. With the CAI I'm getting 21.3 average. So kinda feel like the CAI helped but I cant say for sure that it was all do to the CAI, more a combination of the weather and CAI. I should of put the stock back on in the summer to check the difference but never thought of it. The big difference with the CAI that I noticed was more turbo noise and air sucking.

Jake I saw a video on it somewhere, not sure if it was on here or you tube, I was looking at alot of different stuff when I saw it. I dont trust the video sounds I would rather hear in person but alot of people say they like the sound.
