Us livernois guys aren't in denial. When you guys run higher traps you'll have bragging rights. I have no clue about SoCal tune driveability. It may be light years ahead of Livernois. Until SoCal tuned trucks post something faster than 98 then its pretty much the same as a canned tune power wise.

You will love them , I did some travel time this morning with the 4a it's so smooth and mileage was 22.8, A complete all encompassing tune. They are amazing here in the mountains, I may still need more it's a sickness

I am actually more concerned about drive-ability than WOT. My LMS 87-89 tow tunes do great while I am towing, but since my Full Race exhaust install, it has been a little flat at easy tip in. If I drive more aggressively, it takes care of it, but I prefer easy does it most of the time. And although it has been quite a while since I tried it, I've never really been wowed by the 87 Perf. The 91 tow tune is a different story as a daily driver, plenty of wow, but I am not comfortable doing heavy towing with it as I worry about it pushing the envelope.
So I plan to try out the Socal tunes and hope his 87 street/tow tunes meet my needs better.

Real class act. Shows what kind of person you and company are. Straight up **** talker. Difference between being confident and being cocky. I have said it b4 let the numbers speak. Talk is cheap. No other company comes on forum and cuts down another company. But u do and only try to cut down LMS. Interesting!

So riddle me this... CoreyMs is having a "race" tune tweaked by you, and he randomly asks a livernois owner to log some pulls for him of the latest lms tune... Why might that be...?

Maybe Corey is trying both tunes? May you tell us ? I have has than one tuning source before now. Nothing wrong with it, does this bother you?

I guess reading comprehension fails you timtoolman. Jcain is insinuating that SoCal is pirating Livernois tunes and passing them off as their own. The absolute best case scenario is that Corey is simply comparing the Socal race tune logs with Livernois logs. Definitely a strange coincidence.

Wow.

You can't copy a tune via data logs. All you can see is the outcome. Then again, livernois people wouldn't know this as they blindly take the tune that was given to them without custom tailoring it to their specific application.

I have no clue why corey wanted to see the logs but I will assume it was because of a few people reporting audible knocking. So, he was probably curious.

You people never fail to amaze me. I have Livernois tunes coming that i bought used... must be because I am going to hack it to see how the files were made -right?

Jesus.

I have every single tune revision leading up to the tunes everyone is running now. It wasn't copied.

We can move on from this pile of horse **** now... back to being about SOCAL tunes without the nonsense.

Actually I comprehend very well, better than you think, since. Livernois uses my-cal programmer for which they claim they have more flexability to make different parameter changes to make their tuning d different, to make tunes vice using SCT programmer , so that tells me software is some what different, if you ever did any tuning (I have) you can't just copy a tune from a different device. It doest work that way , that is why livernois won't sell you a tune for the SCT for the f150 ecoboost, do some home work

The thread should be about the tunes.

This is childish.

So after we post some numbers the lms guys will say we copied their tune. I can already see it now. I have baught a tune from each company besides lms and logged it just so I could see the differences

The only thing I will say about data logging is that it is used to tweak your tune. You need a starting point dont know if you can reverse engineer or not. Every tune has to start from stock and be built from there I ASSUME. These guys are smart and on top of there respected game I deal with stock to make my customers car work to OE specs nothing more. IF Shawn was able to tweak a liv tune to what you guys are running by a data log then Liv should hire him. No matter how you look at it it is a great accomplishment.

Now just to get your panties in a knot. Shawn is working on a tune similar to unleashed. I said on page one of this thread or the other one that I had the best tune for me already. After two tries he can't come close on the way I want it to shift. We are going to start with the shifting and add power to it. We will see what happens.

Its like 16 year old girls that are "in love."

If a tune is better, I go with it. First MPT, then I changesd to Unleashed and started the rush to buy from him, but then I tried socal and it is by far the best so far. Livernois is coming in the mail as well. I doubt the tunes will be better but I am open minded.

I am not married to my tunes like it seems some other are.

It is not used to tweak your tune. It is used to see the results of your tune...

We know what we want... AFR at lambda .78, consistent boost, spark at X for scenario Y, etc... all optimal outcomes from a tune are already known.... it is getting there that is the hard part. That is the behind-the-scenes work that you cannot see in a data log. It is in the tune.

The fact that people even have the thought of shawn reverse engineering another tune proves how little they know. Especially via data logs... LMAO

Amazing.
