Better driveability, way more power, and so far better mpg--if you keep your foot out of it.
Good to know. I don't want anything crazy as I do like the SCT canned tunes. Just want some good DD-ability...and get rid of the terrible turbo lag plaguing my engine.

Which tune do you guys run for a performance/tow? I was sent the 875h for this, but after talking to Shawn this is not a daily driver/tow like I asked for. He said he would send me the regular level 5 and the one just under to try but have not received yet.

Does a regular level 5 sound right for a perf/tow?

Ask him again and make sure he will dial it down so you can tow with it. You will still have the good characteristics of the level 5 but the boost and timing will be less.

I emailed shawn and asked if I could try out Matts shift strategy to my 87 5h.

Had the new tune in my inbox after I ran some errands.

Just loaded it....gonna run around town

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Geez, I was gonna go with the Livernois tune but now I'm curious about SoCal...
Have any of you guys run both tunes and really preferred one over the other? I'm just looking for an 87 and 93 performance tunes, don't really tow much. Would just like improved drivability and a little extra performance is always nice too

So far, the only change I would make is to have it shift into 6th a little later. It currently shifts to 6th at around 45 mph and I would like it to shift a little later at around 53 mph. That is my preference, and others might like it the way it is. Other then that, awesome tune. The best I have to date by far, and I thought it would be impossible for someone to replace my 5 Star as my favorite daily driving tune.
I can't stand it he has been messing my tune now for three weeks and can't get to shift into sixth as early as yours. I want mine the opposite of yours to shift to sixth at 40 45 and he has never gotten right.
That is the final step to making it right. Meanwhile I just keep running my other tune because I like the shifting go figure.

Seems Shawn's mouth is faster than his tunes. We've all had those drunken late nights of forum fun. Hopefully he doesn't tweak tunes while he drinks, yall would have 30psi and 50* of timing, ha.
