In my experience a lot of these tuners are great for street and racing use however I use my truck to tow and where I'm at its not uncommon to find my self at high elevation where sometimes they can act funny. To be fair I've been running a 5* tune with great towing success except a 2500rpm bog/misfire which I cannot diagnose (I did re-gap and change plugs) and don't think is a 5* problem. Just with all the reviews would like to give these a try, I just don't want to borrow trouble.
For most tuners, you need a tow tune. I have towed my 9500 lb fiver up to well over 8000 feet, but with a different tuner than I am using now. With my Southern Speed 89 octane tow heavy tune, I have towed my fiver to about 5000 feet with no issues.
About your miss: I had a miss with my previous tune, and with the SCT 87 tune while towing, but my Southern Speed tune is pretty smooth. Southern Speed has pretty well taken care of the Ecoboost quirks for me.

Guys this is the only way to go no other company offers ball bearing turbos upgrades for our trucks period. You want the best we give you the best. In one week we will tell you more until then start saving up. We will be testing these exclusively at the companies facility. We will be offering 3 stages of turbo upgrades. We will be posting dyno sheets Stock run, Stage 1 run, Stage 2 run and Stage 3 run on the turbos. I does not get better than this. And Southern Speed Inc. will be the only tunes sold with these kits. Stay tuned. Thank you.
Fyi your statement about the first and only ball bearing turbos is not accurate information. Full Race uses only efr turbos they are also ceramic ball bering and will be out about the same time. You will be testing them? Full race has been doing that for some time. Just don't get ahead of yourself boosted you tend to do that quite often
I understand your excitement but thats a bold claim when FR has had a ball bearing turbo on there truck for almost a year and has had twin ball bearing turbos on and off the truck many times
In the end we all win and things are just about to get interesting

The ghost turbos from FR we have been told this for what over a year. Great not! The turbos I am talking about will be sold to the public in a short period of time. So yes I am excited that we don't have to keep waiting. Thanks geno

I remember following the Full Race single turbo news before I even had my truck. The development stage has been...lengthy, to say the least. Don't get me wrong, FR has a terrific track record in the forced induction arena, but I gotta figure with Shawn's inexhaustible drive and talent, the SSI system will beat more *** than an old English nanny.
