So what's up with the 2013's?

I was having 1-2 studder issues before the tuner. I actually bought the tune to see if it would fix the shifting issue which it did not. I was up front with the dealer about everything and there was no problems with trade. Most dealers are good to deal with, after all they want to sell you another vehical. If there is warranty issues they are there to go to bat for you with ford. Dont let the forums scare you. Honesty always worked for me. Best thing i have done to the truck was the 5star.

Retired and loving it!
I've not heard much of anything about the 2013's...I would say about 90% less problems with the intercooler and moisture being ingested.
But really....how can you NOT love an engine like this, that is less than 214 cubic inches, tows 9,000 pounds effortlessly, presses you back in the seat like a sports car with acceleration, and always surprises that car in the other lane at green lights....I am seriously addicted to the turbo rush.....up to the speed limit, of course!!!!

13 has had none of these problems. Turbos are definitely louder which I like.

2013 white FX4 SCREW, stock wranglers w/ stock 18" wheels, 5.5' bed, 3.55 gears. About 3500 miles so far and I love it. No shuddering. However, it idles a little rough when it's cold. No real RPM fluctuation like I've seen in videos posted on here, just a slight vibration. Goes away when it warms up. I don't think a lot of people would notice it. Love the HID lights. My fairly hilly, mixed commute on the brand new truck was at about 16 MPG and 16.5 when I tried driving like a lot of Prius owners. It is now getting close to 18 on the same route driving normal. Haven't done a whole tanks worth of highway driving but I did have about a 70 mile stint on mostly level freeway driving 65-70 and got 21.7. I live in the Seattle area. I can see how guys in the Midwest or really flat areas are easily getting 22+. Love the power and quiet, solid ride.
