Recently tried to update my tuner as well with Windows 8 and it was a no go. Used W7 before and it worked fine. Had to call my sister and she had an old laptop with XP on it and it worked.

Windows 8 does suck big time.

Pretty sure I would not want to run Revit in virtualized windows on a Mac. I also would not want to run the energy modeling software I use at work that way either...and if I had to do it that way, I cannot see why not just run Windows in the first place.

As for Windows 8, it takes about 5 minutes to make the interface the same as Windows 7 but 8 is quicker and more stable. If you're using the stupid 'metro' interface then yeah, I can see why you would think it sucks. (Actually, with ClassicShell, I think you can make the interface just like XP too...)

Sounds like the OP would have had the same issue running windows on his mac anyway...gotta love it when someone who admits they have no clue what they are doing blames the equipment for a failure...

No where in there did I blame the equipment lol. I know darn well I'm an idiot and deleted the drivers all by my lonesome! But thanks for your comment.

Pretty sure I would not want to run POS windows 8 on anything. I used to be a hardcore PC user and Mac basher. But now that a Mac can do anything a PC can without crashing. I can run windows 7 virtualized and pick any program I want, it will run faster and smoother than any PC

Run As Administrator for Vista, Windows 7 & 8 for the installation is always the best process. I have seen quite a few problems resolved by installing this way and a few screwy things when not using that option for the installation.
