Default Sluggish Ecoboost After Sitting

Short and simple:

The truck was sitting for a month with about 4-5gal of fuel in it. I started driving and it was struggling pretty badly. I figured it was a computer issue of relearning some things. I put some fuel in and it started to respond a little better, not up to 100%, but better.

I'm going to top off with ethanol free or 93 as soon as I can and keep running quality gas though it for a while.

I figured maybe the gas could have soaked up some water over the last month or so.

Anyone else had this happen?

Sounds like bad gas. Also make sure you let it warm up to operating temp before driving.

I started it and let it sit for about 10-15min this morning before heading to work. It still feels like it's pretty constricted, but getting a little better.

x2 on bad gas. When I dirt bike, I usually have left over fresh fuel in my 5 gallon tank. I might not ride until 4 or 5 days later and to me even that is enough time to start deteriorating. I usually put the fuel in my trucks tank and get new gas each time.

Sta-bil is your friend, add to the gas tank any time it's going to sit for any extended period.

Check your air filter. You could have a rodent nest in the air box from sitting for so long.

I have seen birds nests in the intake when they still were routed to the grill, but that's been awhile.

I got a CEL light with code P0299 this afternoon. Dropped it off with the dealer.
