Default Slightly Used K&N Intake for $100

Worth it?

A sub has a '12 Eco he is trading in, called me to ask if I wanted it for $100. Never been an intake guy, but do they provide enough benefit to make it worthwhile for $100? Been on his truck for a few thousand miles. He claimed he got better MPG.

I know many have said it helps create minimal extra power. Any slightly better turbo sound? Higher mpg and any power gains would be seconday plusses in my book, I'm not expecting huge gains in those departments.

I also know some intake manufacturers changed designs between'11 and'12 models because of the sensors. The part number on the K&N website is the same for both years, will it for sure work on my truck?

No talk on how K&N will destroy turbos...I am well aware of that and with several buddies
running K&N for many years on turbo vehicles, I am not concerned.

Thanks

Anybody else? He kind of wanted to know this week...I'll probably just buy it I guess. I would never buy one at full price but for $100 I'm willing to cure my curiosity I guess

i don't got a new fangled truck like yalls but i have a simple k&n filter in my truck and it made i difference in my truck. with the system of the eco boost you will see and feel a difference for sure. get it 100 bucks is a super deal! just get a filter cleaning kit from K&n and do it up like new you should be every happy.
