Justus, you're thinking like a person who drove old cars and has some mechanical knowledge. Nowadays, they try to design these things to hold up even when a texting teenage girl is driving. They're going to keep the pedal buried trying to get the desired result. I'd do what you said, but the oem tries to make the engine protect itself.

I have been lurking here for about a year because I have been following this EB problem since the neighbor bought a new 2012 EB. His other truck is a F250 with the v10 in it that I have been helping him maintain. He has not had any problems with his yet, but I have kept him informed. I like the idea of drilling the hole for a preventative measure too. One thing that hasn't been brought up is the added cooling effect of the water mist and rain hitting the cac while driving in rain. So you have extra humidity in the air being drawn in, AND extra cooling from the water on the cac fins. It would be like having more ice in your glass of lemonade on a humid day, and how that makes more condensation.

Is there a link anywhere with pics on where to do the drill into the intercooler. My truck has this shudder most noticeable at hwy cruising speeds and go to pass. But clears quickly and then runs fine on the next acceleration.

The pictures are in the thread on drilling the hole. No brainer though, it's the lowest point of the IC on the driver side.

Did the weep hole this last weekend, it was ridiculous how much condensation wasa stored in the IC. Still i'm warming the truck and blowing off the condensation, but definitely this idea has done the trick, no shruddering at all. My truck has SCT with 5* 93 performance tune, K&N CAI and S-Works SS 4" Catback exhaust. It runs like a monster, even beating STI's.

Default Wheel well liner

Another thing that couldn't hurt is adding a bit more plastic to the wheel well area directly behind the driver side headlight.
With the headlight out you can clearly see the wheel through a gap about 1"x5". I made a piece to block this and fastened it with zip ties.
Sorry I don't have any pictures

Drilled the weep hole yesterday due to the condition popping up. Quite a bit of condensate dripped out under pressue. Went out and put 40 miles on to try to replicate the issue in the same conditions. Its gone. For now Im gonna say the hole works

Could you take a couple of pics of the tube you drilled and where the hole was drilled and post them? I am thinking of doing this to my '11 EB

I did 1) and 5). No further issues for the 6 months since then.

And, it seems MORE responsive, no fuel mileage penalty. I'm happy.
