Default sct ecoboost

looking at a used unlocked sct tuner what model does it need to be thanks ? the one im looking at is a 3015 sf3

3015 SF3 is the one you would want, just make sure it's unmarried/unlocked.

If it's vin locked, costs $150 to get SCT to unlock them.

thanks i installed the 87 tune and was able to tweak the options. got home and updated the tuner and now i cant change any options or it gives me a 1008 error ?

Technically you are supposed to return the truck to stock before updating anything on the tuner. The software even tells you that when you update it. Did you do the firmware update through the SCT software?

I'd give SCT a call directly and see what they say. I know there have been issues for those who install a tune and then change the firmware or update the tuner without returning the truck to stock first.

yeah i seen that so thats what i did returned the tune back to stock then updated the hand held. I noticed after I updated the tuner it had an intake option and down pipe option. on the phone with sct their re formatting the hand held.

so after 2 hours of updates and firmware all is good. If anyone has problems with their sct give rob@sct a call he know his stuff.
