I have a Borla 40842S and I have ran it with and without the resonator. It sounds great and similar to the Roush, with the resonator in it is perfect and no drone. I don't recall any drone either when I ran it withou the resonator delete pipe, just louder. I have some youtube videos of it.
I have a single Borla 4" tip now and the resonator back in for now.

I've never had an issue with drone on any other vehicle in my entire life, but the 5.0 drones so badly at times it used to make me want to park the truck and not drive it. I honestly think droning may have something to do with higher compression. I've driven other vehicles, including a 4.6 3v mustang for months with no mufflers at all and it sounded perfect. No drone whatsoever.

MPETE, i hear you. That is true on people telling the differences. Most drone on any exhaust will show itself especially at low rpm cruz'n speeds. Most chambered mufflers will do it before a straight through design will, but they can too as you all have noticed on this roush system. Bad drone will hurt your head and teeth and i am older in my early fifty's and I can not detect any drone with my Borla setup or it would be gone. Some of the open cone style CAI can cause vibration while accelerating too that can be noticed.

****, I have my stock exhaust straight piped with a resonator delete OEM pipe and a stainless pipe welded where the muffler was and I have zero drone, everybody that's ridden in it familiar with drone is very surprised there isnt any.
If this roush is made similarly to the OEM exhaust in terms of pipe quality, I woudlnt be surprised if there's zero drone.

there have been MANY people who have complained the Roush system has drone, and many others who say there is none at all.
Like I have said a few posts before, drone is very subjective. Some notice it, some don't. If your truck doesn't have any, that's awesome, but I guarantee if I rode in it, I would be miserable. There are times when even in my truck with stock Raptor exhaust and resonator that I notice it droning, especially when I have my cap on it.
