Default Rough start 5.0 battery?

Only notice when it's colder out in the morning but it's not as cold this morning and it did it again, upon starting the truck it cranks and chugs for a split second like it's not going to start then works fine... I'm running a 5 star tune.. 89 octane.. I've never had any problems.. My truck is a 2012.. Is it time to replace the battery already or any suggestions?

Have you load tested the battery?

OK I just stopped at my local garage he handed me the load tester I put it on and push the switchover the needle went straight to yellow weak left the switch off it went back to the middle of green so that would mean the battery is shot correct??
Ran to napa, there tester showed good., so regardless I just bought a new battery.. Idk
Higher cranking amps..

How long did you run the truck before taking it over to test it?

First test was directly after driving 20 miles..From the local garage home, 5 miles.. Unhooked it and threw it in the car and went to napa.. Only does it on colder mornings and when the truck was off for a longer period of time.. Over night etc. prob doesn't matter but I also do have a kicker sound gate sub/amp that runs with the audio system.. Nothing major tho..

I would charge it up and then load test it.

Start reading up on the dead battery threads just in case you have something else going on.

I tested mine with a MM in my driveway. hadn't been running for a bit, check to see how much voltage drop I got with the starter turning. remote start.

going on year 5 of original battery. had a few goofy starts like you describe, but it's been fine.
