Default Rough Idle At Cold Start Up - 2013 Ecoboost

Wondering if anyone has a similar issue with their ecoboost. Rough idle on a cold start.

From what I understand the cold starts run super rich to fire up the cats quicker to meet epa requirements.

My wife's 2014 Explorer Sport with the 3.5 Eco has a rough cold idle. You can actually see it in the tach. Just keeping an eye on it.
And that engine in an Explorer is a BLAST.

I've had the same thing in both of my Eco's. With the '12 I put new plugs gapped down to .030 and it actually made it worse. I left the '13 stock now and it does it just a little bit.

Hmmmm - I thought 13's came with iridium tipped plugs gapped uniformly? If not, this is the first place most go to smooth out the idle. Be sure to disconnect the battery (-) terminal for a couple of mins for the ecu to re-learn.

Mine is a lot better after the plug/gap update, though idle is still a bit rough.

Mine isn't terrible. I'm just not used to it. Never had a turbo before. But it seems to be "normal" from what people are saying and the research I've done.

Mine idled rough until I put in new SP534's gapped to .027. Stock I would gap to .030 and see if that made a difference.

I hate when they say "within spec" as well. Because you know if it was their vehicle, it would be taken care of.
