My rear camera has the disappearing guide lines. And from time to time it looses signal altogether. Can I buy a new camera and install myself? Or is their more to it? Don't want Ford to earn another penny off me.

Should just be a plug with a pig tail down where the tailgate meets the box. They make it like that so you can take the tailgate off if need be

I was going to buy the camera just wondering if there is a "flash" of some sort that Ford might have to do to get the truck to see the new camera.
