I ordered a tuner from mike at 5 star for my 2011 F150 supercrew 4X4 with the 5.0. I downloaded the 87 performance/Tow tune this morning to give it a run and boy was I impressed. The 87 tune does not have any advanced timing so you can use cheap gas and never worry about detonation. The tranny shifts much better and the whole truck is much more responsive. This thing is a huge win in my opinion. Mike is the best guy I have ever dealt with as far as sales go. Anyone thinking about getting a tuner for the 5.0 better do it, you will be happy. By the way anyone who says they do not need a tune has never driven one with a tune.

thanks for your feedback. The 5.0 does run good on the cheap 87 stuff and gets good mileage.

I am curious to drive one if anyone is in the MN/WI/IA area i would drive to ride in one. What is the cost of this tune and what are the power differences between 87 and 91 octane?
