Default Really bad studder misfire under load

Today I decided to check the gap on my plugs. They were all .30 except one which was around .32. I set it to .30. The only other issue I had was that I broke off one of the little red clips to the plug that plugs into one of the coils. Not a big deal as it still locks on snug. After going for a test drive jut to make sure everything was good, and i found that anything other than normal acceleration would cause some serious studdering and misfire. Now the truck was fine before this, so obviously I did something. I was very careful with all the plugs and coils. The truck is not throwing any codes. I also double checked that everything was plugged in snug.

What did I do? Does this sound like a bad coil? Does this sound like a bad connection between coil and plug? i dont see how that could be since they are all screwed down. Guess I could buy a new coil and replace each one and test to see if it goes away but I still can't believe it didn't throw a code.

Sounds like you cracked a ceramic insulator.

You may have cracked one of the plugs. There's been lots of that going on around here, lol. Even for some that were careful.

Also, check out the "Eco spark plug gap" thread. Lots of good info. Some other plug options as well.

Thanks. I assume you can't visually see this? What ft/lbs should the plugs be?

You'll have to pull them again and look.
It's only 11 ftlb or 133 inlb if I remember correctly. That's all in the above mentioned thread as well.
