Default Ran the truck on the dyno today

Ran stock, MPT 91 tune, and 5* 91 Perf/Tow. Dyno is a Mustang, have to say I was a bit disappointed with the numbers after seeing some of the others posted.
Stock: 312 HP 353TQ
MPT: 329 HP 396 TQ
5*: 318 HP 384 TQ
All runs were done in 3rd gear, the guy running it did MPH runs from 65 to 80 something, being my first time dynoing any thing I have no clue whether this was a good idea or not the other option he mentioned was RPM runs. Like I said I was not impressed with what the numbers. Truck has just a tune and AEM dry flow filter. Unfortunately I didn't get a graph print out just numbers.

The torque would be higher in 4th with the rpms low, although stock it won't rev very high before it hits the limiter. Even 3rd at 80 is only in the low or sub 5000 range, it hits 95/96 MPH almost right at 6000.

The most torque on these motors is going to be found in nearly a bog situation, 2000 rpm in 4th and go. It will spike and slowly taper off, the HP is higher closer to 5000.

I think the runs are fine for the range and gears he tested. Not to mention mustang dynos are usually lower than others.

312 would be extremely stout for a stock truck on a mustang dyno. I would expect closer to 260.

Did y'all make any efforts to cool the intercooler between pulls?

If this is a EcoBoost truck the stock numbers seem right.MotorTrend got 316 RWHP and 347 RWTQ stock.

Something I've learned from having a lot of cars and several different dyno's.

Numbers are only good for comparing two vehicles, or tuning one, on the same dyno.

What you did, tune/pull, tune/pull, tune/pull is great.
What I did yesterday on a different Mustang dyno doesn't mean that much to you.

I'd say those are significant gains. I'll be happy if I gain 17 hp and 40 tq in my drag car with a new intake and carb, and I'm out a grand and three bleeding knuckles.

Didn't throw a bag of ice or anything on it, all it had was the 15 min or so in between runs for the tune switch, had a fan running on the front of the truck the whole time.
The stock pull I was okay with, I guess I was just hoping for a little more outta the tunes. But I will say while it is only numbers, the tunes absolutely change how the truck drives and I am happy with that.

Posting peak numbers dont tell the whole story...its the area under the curve that is most important. Post a graph if you have it.

Didn't get graphs, in fact I didn't even get to see a graph of any of the runs. Crappy deal I thought.
