Questions about the EB

Ford equipped this engine to continue pumping coolant thru the turbos when you shut the engine off. Maybe the oil too, but I don't know for sure. So you don't need to run for a few minutes at idle to help cool the turbos.

Still under 1K miles on mine but here are some hard numbers for you.
XLT SuperCrew 6.5 Box Ecoboost
MSRP 41565
My Price after rebates 33521
I left 1K in rebates on the table because I wanted to immediately finance with my favorite credit union rather than finance with Ford and then play the refinance game with my favorite credit union. So a 9K discount was possible.
The XLT SuperCrew had the max rebates two months ago.
Gas Mileage
Average mileage for entire life of truck including dealer idling and test drive before delivery
17.5
My last mileage on 17.5 gallons fill up (mostly commuter miles with some stop and go).
18.5
The other thing that surprised with me with its accuracy is the display of gallons used. It read 17.5 gallons when I pulled up to the pump. I stuck the nozzle in, squeezed the trigger, left it alone, and waited for the auto shut off to kick in. The pump dispensed 17.54 gallons.

4000 miles avg 17.8mpg and no real problems so far...sticker 35.7 paid 28.2k not inc tx and lic...insh is 500 yr.
I think the back seat head rests suck in the SCAB and I removed mine so I could see..had the rough hunting running idle but it corrected itself..I expected better MPG and the power sterring is hard for me to get use to at low speeds. I wish it had 36gal fuel tank...

Very good info from all, thanks. Is it just me or do the EB's seemed to be overpriced(sticker that is) My guess is that it is to make the customer feel good when they come off the sticker by $5-10,000 depending on the trim level. Oh on the insurance, the company I'm with qouts it by the term remaining. So in reality, if I get one, my insurance will drop almost $1,100 a year ......

F150 is higher on the theft chart than the mustang. Trucks are very popular with thiefs and the closer you get to Mexico.....the higher your ins because of this
Thanks for the response guys, I do feel the truck will perform excellent with little or no problems, however with it being new model year, I would like to see someone with more than 15,000k on one. I think I may have come accross one on this forum. As far as the insurance, it just doesn't seem right to me, a truck almost as much as a sports/muscle car...

I do get a military and safe driver discount. I also haven't gotten a ticket or been in an accident since the 90's. *knock on wood*

I live in Alberta, Canada. And when I traded in my 2008 F250 FX4 Screw long bed in for my brand new 2011 F150 FX4 Screw, I thought my insurance would go up... But it went considerably down (about $400)... I even called them back to make sure they weren't quoting on something else... Ah well!!
