Questions about the EB

I like what I call "effortless acceleration". Very minimal gas pedal required to accelerate fairly quickly in normal traffic. My 2002 5.4 would have required the pedal 1/2 down or more just to struggle to accelerate like the Eco does with very light pedal pressure. Does that make sense to anyone?

I love your FX4 20" rims! A lot more than my previous 20" chrome clad which were traded for the 18" chrome clad. The silver FX4 wiith those grey 20" wheels looks baddass!

My favorite characteristic is the low rpm git and go when you need to make a pass at low speeds. Instant torque launch. I am at 3025 and maybe its just me but mpg's seem to have improved a smidgeon. Not sure if the whole 3000 mile cpu flash thing is true or urban legend but I was at 20-21mpg going into work today at 70mph and going east always yields worse mileage for me (wind). This is a 4x4 3.73. Didn't want the 3.73 but took what they had, which this past March was hard to come by. Boost=juice though, remember that. Needs a boost guage. Hell, even my Whirlpool ecoboost washing machine has a boost guage. Bet id be just as happy with the 5.0 if I bought that instead. Ymmv.

Thanks for all the help guys... MPG is not a huge concern for me , however, if I'm going to pull the trigger, I'd like to get better than the 1997 Silverado I'm selling, it gets 15.5 consistanly hwy. I have veiwed the MPG post and it seems to vary depending on area and driving habits as with any vehicle. I do have one more question I forgot to ask, do you need to let the EB idle before shut down because of the turbo's? I know I used to have to do this with my 7.3. Thanks again for all your help.

If mpgs aren't a big concern, why don't you consider the 6.2? I get a little over 16 mpg highway with mine. Tons of power, fun to drive, and sounds awesome!

Okay, some of these questions have been asked in other threads some have not. I'm seriously considering purchasing an EcoBoost and there are a few Questions I'd like to ask. How many miles do you have on your EB? If you have had any problems what are they? How much did you get the dealer to come down from the sticker price (I know it depends on the trim level) I just wanted to get an idea. Also, does this sound right for insurance, I have a 2011 Mustang GT Premium and the quote I got from the insurance company on a 2011 F150 EB SCREW Lariat was only one hundred dollars cheaper per year...?? Any help woould be great....
