OP - Good luck with your crate engine!! I am interested to hear what the racing EB is like in our trucks. Please keep us posted!!
How many 6 bolt main with a bed plate V6 engines do you hear about? The engine is stout.

Anything can happen...

Interesting to see the $3000 swings in prices on those. Amazon is 900 ABOVE Ford.

You may save on sales tax and shipping if its Amazon Prime eligible! I'd like to see the autonomous drones deliver THAT to your doorstep...

Just FYI I have forged rods and pistons on my site and you could have picked up a shortblock for cheap and then put those in instead. I don't know that the Ford Racing short block has in it but from my understanding it's a stock block.
Can you put up a link for it?

That's what I'll do if mine blows. Fully forged, fuel, turbos...the whole 9 yards. Just would need a reputable shop to do all of the work. Track day the 12th, could blow it then lol.

You're buying a lot of unnecessary parts with the route you're taking. I'd imagine a built shortblock could be had for under $5k

Then I would have to pay someone to put all the parts from my engine and transfer to the long block. For the cost of a new crate engine which is $7250, I figure it would be about even. And I'm getting a brand new engine!

Correction - I meant to say short block. I understand the forged internals and what they can do, but will not be tuning the truck again. The ecoboost has some serious issues and would not be putting another one in the truck if not for the ecu and wiring harness. I would switch to the 5.0 if I could. When I was looking at new trucks, I was warmed about the ecoboost issues. But being a need for speed type of guy, I didn't listened. Man I wish I would have.
