can you gain power with another tune? Not sure how 5* stacks up to SSI, MPT or any of the others?

My axle code is L6 so after looking it up , it means I have 3.73 electronic locking gear ratio, I do highway driving a lot, should I step up to 4.10 or 4.56 or stay with 3.73 based on people who have done it experience.
how much do you care about overall drivability? I'd pick the rear you will be happy with when you consider all of the driving you will do with the truck and others have weighed in on this one for you

Also I was thinking of upgrading to BOSS manifold and Ford Cobra Throttlebody, and American racing long tube headers /catted.. is the price of about 2,100 worth the extra 20 to 30 torque in your opinion, since I do plan on going Pro-Comp 6" lift with coil overs.
there is a very comprehensive post on the BOSS and opinions on both sides of those who have done the mod... I thought it was loss of low end grunt, but can't remember... so you'd need to look up the thread.

All that said, spending +2K for 30tq??? You are about half way to serious power being blown if you can wrench or have a close friend that does. That just seems like a lot of money for not a huge bump...
See above. I have an EB, but hope it might be of some help.

After a quality tune, supercharger is the only place to go. The gearing is very versatile and is not needed unless you go very big. Exhaust and intake will make only small gains. This has been shown on the dyno time and time again. Mostly done to rattle the driver's *****.
If you can afford the TVS such as Roush and Eaton, go that route. Installation looks clean and boost is efficient at around 5 lbs. The pro chargers are better value in some ways, but it look like you truck was raped by a rice burner.

Adding HP high in the RPM range isn't going to compensate for those tires.

How much time to you spend driving around above 4,000rpm?

You guys want instant horsepower and torque on a vehicle with a light weight rearend?

A procharger will bring in the power curve around 2500 rpm (every vehicle is different). Honestly, find useful power on the street. All depends on what a person is doing with the truck as well.

Personally, for a daily driven vehicle, a twin screw would be ideal.

Now if we are talking about a toy, Procharger all the way.

Reagearing a truck with 3.73 gears and 35" tires is a HUGE waste of $2000 with this transmission. If he had an old 4-speed auto, it would be a different story. 2nd gear on this truck is closer to 1st gear on the previous gen transmissions. You can always lock out of 6th gear if need be. With 3.73 gears, this transmission with a locked out 6th would be pretty close to an old 5 speed with 4.56 gears. Just sayin
