Ford has changed the specs. The site now says "regular unleaded".

"Big Blue" is watching this forum!

Don't get your hopes up there yet. The original thread was based upon Ford's very own statements yet you and a plethora of others willfully chose to ignore those salient points.

I won't be rehashing what was already stated as fact.

I emailed someone at Ford about this last night after I made my last post asking them the same thing I asked Mark Williams. I haven't got an email back from them yet. Apparently that might be my answer.

Thanks
I never hardly go to pickuptrucks forum anymore. When Mike Levine was running it I visited nearly everyday. Now the forums are full of spam and not much happening there. When Ford hired Mike they got a good guy.

Oh I never go on their forums. People think the trolls are bad over here should take a look in the PUTC forums. I just read the articles an occasionally respond in the comments. Yeah Mike is a good guy. I am not saying Mark is doing a terrible job, I just like the way Mike did things.

They must be because we all saw where it said premium.

Well w/e I guess. I hope they dial up the numbers on all the engines for 15'.

I'm not sure what to believe. For the past several years they have listed the F150 6.2 specs using regular unleaded, but said the specs for the SD version used premium fuel. Now I noticed they say regular unleaded for the 6.2 in the SD too.

No, the have always said the minimum octane for the 6.2L was regular, but the power numbers they have advertised was done with premium fuel. You can use both octanes due to the VCT, but will have different power numbers.

The difference between 87 and 91/93 was 60 cents a gallon at the pumps today. While 87 has dropped over 20 cents, premium has hardly moved.
