My oem plugs were junk at 40k with center post gone on two of them. My second set started missing on one cylinder at 17k.

I replaced my first set at 28k. This set at 54k. I have over 10k of towing, including 6k last summer through the Rockies. Whole the center posts were not gone, the gap had increased to over .036 on the last set. Now, I could regap them, but l liked what I saw with the MSDs. I'm on my second tank of gas (93 Shell) and I'm seeing a slight increase in MPG. Of course, that's not enough to really make a judgement. But the truck does idle smoother, and that annoying miss at 2500 rpm has vanished. I figure that between computers, engine mapping, and the miles of wiring and connections, I could try this as a place to start figuring things out. Because as everyone knows, with the modern dealership, no code -no problem.

Definitely interested in finding the most reliable plug. If it turns out the MSD is it, would then be looking for a way to get a bunch for long term repair. Have done this in the past with other cars since I run them for over 10 years. Stuff like oil and air filters. Buy once, get a good quantity discount. Saves chasing parts and good products suddenly going obsolete. $8.99 x 6 plugs is steep, maybe somewhere will do group buy or quantity discounts for a couple dozen, which should last the lifetime of the truck. Buy once, cry once and all that.

If MSD plus are good and last 30k.but better performance I'm down spending $8.99 every two or three years
