Came across this thread a couple of days ago and just ordered a set for my Platinum. I went back and forth whether I thought it was a bit too much bling, but in the end, I like it. I'll post some pics once I get them.

I've actually had these for a while and just got around to putting them on today. I likey Also recently added some OEM rear fender liners and some WeatherTech flaps. I'm a modder!
Thanks foose150 for the inspiration

Beautiful....I've had my OEM PLATINUM letters on for a while now and still like what I see every time I'm near my F150.

Looks great! Lower the rear 1"-2" and it would be perfect

F150 Black Platinum
$70 per side
Hi everyone.
I, too, have seen an F-250 Platinum rolling around town with the name plate/letters on the side of the bed and thought it looked great.
I found the part number referenced on page one of this thread and then searched for it at Levittown Ford's online part store. $69.92 discounted from the $104.05 list price. Ground shipping of $18.

Bought two of them to install on my black F-150. I have chrome bed rails, too, so will be interesting to see how that all looks together. I'm really impressed with the pics I've seen here so far.

F150 Black Platinum
How I added Platinum letters/nameplate to my F150 box
Many thanks to everyone for the guidance/examples in this thread. It helped me track down the part, order it at a decent price, and get it installed with confidence.
Thought I'd give back with a few photos of how I did it, though I certainly can't take credit for the approach - got that from this thread, too!
Ford Part # DC3Z-16720-A; Platinum Name Plate
They come already set up in a strip with proper spacing and ready to be installed. There's a backing behind the letters and a plastic film across the front.
First, washed truck. Then, cleaned surface where the letters would be applied really well with rubbing alcohol.
Used 1.5" painters tape to set it up, keep it in line with the bottom edge of the rail cap. In this pic, the letters are just hanging there, suspended by the tape.
Then I carefully peeled back the underlying backing to expose each individual letter's adhesive to the truck, working one letter at a time and ensuring that the top edge of the template stayed in line with the bottom edge of the tape. I then applied solid pressure for a short duration to each letter, to ensure good contact.
Once I had all the letters applied, I slowly pulled back the top protective layer (plastic cover and foam spacer). I worked one letter at a time, keeping my fingers pressed on the letter while my other hand worked the foam template free. (Note, the clear plastic is stuck to the letters with adhesive, so it'll have to be peeled off. I was really worried about pulling the letter off the truck!).
Voila! I'll post completed pics in another post.
