2011, 75,000 miles. Still have the rattle at 110,000, but no code... yet. It's entirely possible the problem will be most common on the 11's because they have the most mileage. Parts didn't get changed until the 14's, but those guys don't have enough mileage.

2012 Ecoboost with 57,000km on it. I have the noise on start up and Ford won't authorize a repair. I don't get the code yet. The Dealer replaced the vacuum pump, charged me for an oil change (not needed at the time), and finally a solenoid replaced. All of which did nothing to stop the noise. I know it is the timing chain and so does my dealer as they wrote it on the paperwork I received, but still can't get the repair. Ford customer service was a useless as ever. I have always owned and bought Ford's, this will be my last if they don't fix this problem under my warranty period.

My truck was 2011 Ecoboost F-150 Lariat SCREW 4x4. Startup noise happened day after purchase at 64,000km (likely present prior). I put enough pressure on the dealer they finally repaired the truck at 68,000km (NO P0016 but they said timing was out 8 degrees). Truck lasted a week after the repair and the noise came back. Ford and Dealer would do nothing.
After almost 6 months of fighting I traded it on a brand new 2014 that was built Oct 14th 2014. 4 days after the affected trucks in the TSB.
