Never heard anything very good about the econo tunes. If you drive the best performance tune reasonably you'll do just as well.

Oh and I doubt very much that truck weighs 7K lbs., more like 6300 at the most.

Also worth noting that the Performance tune with either the Street or Race trans setting features a reprogrammed Tow/Haul button. On just those tunes that button is setup with economy shift points.

7k was a while guess, a supercrew ecoboost is 5296, plus maybe a 100lb in options, 1k lbs in construction equipment and myself its probably a daily driver of 6,000- 6500 depending on load.. so my point was its a heavy truck, I want a good tune I dont care if another company is a tenth faster or slower cause its not a race car.

Thank you all for the responses I will be going with a full race, mild street and a tow tune

All of them!! LOL except the 87 eco tune. I like the MPT for the tow/haul button change up, tames the shift points back to almost stock but still very firm.

I only got the rest of the tunes because it was a package deal and never know when I might wind up in a different part of the country where some of the higher octanes don't exist.

ECO tune is just softer shifting and throttle response. Race tunes will be the opposite. I suggest trying a performance tune and datalog that and after you get it dialed in decide if you want one that's more aggressive or less aggressive. See if they will give you a e85 tune as your 3rd as a race tune (my personal preference). BTW, the only real difference between an e85 tune and regular tune is the amount of timing you have as the computer has e85 fueling already in the computer (not that MPT couldn't do better, because they probably can).

On a side note, if MPT is watching this thread you should make me an economy tune, but I'm not willing to pay $600. PM me if we can work out a deal.

I'm running 93 race at the moment as my DD. With that cool press of the tow/haul button, it smooths out the shifts just a little for stop-n-go traffic. I'm still trying the combinations, but so far I like the race. I have 93 street and 93 chill too, but that's all the tunes for now. Don't tow anything with the truck - she's a pavement queen and 2WD anyway. YMMV.

Yep.

I had mpt and now 5*. Mpt has more all out go, almost too much and hard to control. 5* less power but still a lot but far smoother and more predictable.

I have a used 5015 tuner from MPT but there are no custom tunes on it anymore, just the canned SCT tunes. will using tow/haul smooth out my shifts or does feature only exist on the custom tunes? I love the improved throttle response and nice bump in power with the 91 tune but I hate how hard it shifts into second when I'm not getting on it hard.

IIRC from speaking with Ken at MPT, the unique programming they put into the tow/haul mode is just in their custom tunes - using a canned tune from SCT does not take this tow/haul mode (programming slot) and use it for different shift points. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

I got 87 performance street, 87 tow street, and 93 performance race.

I've only run the 87 performance street. They've made a few revisions to the shift points per my request and they have been great to deal with. I highly recommend MPT.
